We proudly unveiled our new temporary John St reception on 18 July, located just a short walk north from the old John St entry. This was completed overnight with the closure of the old John St entry and reopening of the new temporary space to minimise member disruption. The change has been positively received and we are appreciative of member support in utilising this new entry.

The new John St entry is now officially under refurbishment until early 2025 and will certainly impress once complete with a spectacular new sweeping staircase to the first floor and parking for mobility scooters.

There may be some construction noise whilst some major demolition and structural works are completed during this process, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused and will ensure it is kept to an absolute minimum. 
 

As we continue our redevelopment journey at Lidcombe, members will witness modifications to make way for certain works to commence.

Additional works for members to be mindful of include:

• Board St Car Park: this has been closed in line with the closure of the old John St entry to commence works including two new lifts from the Board St basement car park and to level 1.

• Ground floor bathrooms adjacent to the BAILEYS Sports Bar: have closed and are forecast to be completed by late November 2024. We apologies for any inconvenience caused during these works. Please note the amenities adjacent to the John St café will remain operational during these works.
