We thank all members for their patience, understanding and support of our COVID-19 Safe initiatives. Life with COVID-19 appears to be the new normal in the foreseeable future and DOOLEYS Clubs will always be extremely cautious to protect our members and staff.
DOOLEYS Clubs has been advised of the NSW Governments reopening roadmap for when NSW reaches the 70 and 80 percent fully vaccinated milestone, and for 1 December 2021. In line with this, we will be implementing measures to keep our staff, members and broader community safe.
70 per cent milestone
The following conditions will apply the Monday after 70% per cent of NSW adults are fully vaccinated (projected to be Monday, 11 October 2021):
- All staff and members must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or have a medical exemption.
- The 4sqm rule will apply in indoor areas with the 2sqm rule applying in outdoor areas.
- Standing while drinking is only permitted in outdoor areas.
- Up to 50 guests can attend weddings, with dancing permitted and eating and drinking only while seated.
- Up to 50 guests can attend funerals, with eating and drinking while seated.
- Masks will be mandatory in all indoor areas, and for customer-facing staff in outdoor areas.
- Indoor entertainment will be able to reopen with one person per 4sqm or 75 per cent fixed seated capacity.
- Gyms and indoor recreation facilities (e.g., children's play areas) can open under the 1 person per 4sqm rule and can offer classes for up to 20 people.
80 per cent milestone
The following conditions will apply the Monday after 80 per cent of NSW adults are fully vaccinated:
- All staff and customers must have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine or have a medical exemption.
- The 4sqm rule will apply in indoor areas with the 2sqm rule applying in outdoor areas
- Standing while drinking is permitted in both indoor and outdoor areas
- Group bookings will be limited to 20 people
- Unvaccinated patrons will only be able to access take away settings
- Capacity of weddings to be determined by the 4sqm rule with no upper cap, with dancing permitted and drinking while standing permitted. Up to five guests who are not fully vaccinated may attend a wedding, however every person at a reception must be fully vaccinated or medically exempt
- Capacity of funerals to be determined by the 4sqm rule with no upper cap. Up to ten guests who are not fully vaccinated can attend
- Masks will be mandatory in all indoor areas, and for customer-facing staff in outdoor areas
- Indoor entertainment will be able to accept one person per 4sqm or 75 per cent fixed seated capacity
- Gyms and indoor recreation facilities (e.g., children's play areas) can open under the one person per 4sqm rule and can offer classes for up to 20 people.
Wednesday, 1 December 2021
The following conditions will apply to clubs across NSW from 1 December regardless of vaccination status:
- There are no restrictions or limitations for unvaccinated staff or customers
- The 2sqm rule applies in indoor and outdoor areas
- Standing while drinking is permitted in both indoor and outdoor areas
- Capacity of weddings to be determined by the 2sqm rule with no upper cap, with dancing permitted and drinking while standing permitted
- Capacity of funerals to be determined by the 2sqm rule with no upper cap
- Masks will be mandatory for customer-facing staff
- Capacity of indoor entertainment facilities determined by the 2sqm rule
- Gyms and indoor recreation facilities, (e.g., children's play areas) can open under the one person per 2sqm rule with no additional caps.
