In what has been a challenging time for all, we are pleased to announce some positive news, which is the renewal of our very special partnership with The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
This partnership will see DOOLEYS Clubs commit $1 million over five years towards the renewal of two vital projects the Club has funded over the last ten years – the DOOLEYS Bridging Grant Scheme and the DOOLEYS Clinical Research Trial grant.
Both vital programs will be conducted at the Children’s Cancer Research Unit (CCRU).
The supported programs will provide children in NSW with access to the most promising treatments for cancer. Clinical trials are a long-term investment by DOOLEYS which will allow the very best medical experts to attain the best possible chance of discovering new and improved therapies for young children.
DOOLEYS financial support has also funded post doctorial researchers, senior scientists, and research assistants which have successfully communicated results to health and medical research peers across 37 international journals and international conferences.
From our ongoing support, DOOLEYS was recognised as a Founder of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in 2016. An honourable achievement and one we value with great appreciation and respect.
Since our partnership began in 2003, DOOLEYS has donated a phenomenal $2,055,071.44 to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
It is a small contribution to a much larger cause and DOOLEYS Clubs are proud to continue to play our part.
