Bob 'Tug' Wilson's Walk Wrap Up

Bob 'Tug' Wilson's Walk
27 June 2018

In March, sixteen DOOLEYS staff and members took on The Bob ‘Tug’ Wilson Walk for Kids with Cancer to help raise much needed funds for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Team DOOLEYS smashed the 26km walk from Circular Quay to Manly and raised $3,000 in donations. The DOOLEYS Board of Directors were so impressed by this effort that they matched this donation dollar for dollar!

On 19th June, five team members were invited to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead to view first-hand the amazing work of the Cancer Centre for Children and to present their cheque donation.

“I felt very privileged to have had the opportunity to have a tour of the cancer research facilities”, said team member John Jansen. “It really opened my eyes to the unsung heroes of cancer research and to their tireless dedication and passion.  I’m so proud to be a supporter of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and will continue to fundraise, so that this amazing work can continue.”

DOOLEYS will also be supporting the Hospital through participation in the Sun-Herald City2Surf on Sunday 12 August.  We would welcome your support and donations - please visit www.dooleyshealthandfitness.com or see DOOLEYS Health + Fitness reception.
